Methodology

To find out which craft beer brand was the most searched in each U.S. state, we put together a list of local craft breweries by looking at the brewers of the 100 top-rated beers in every state according to Beer Advocate data. Next, we used Google Trends data from January 2018 to 2023 to look at anywhere from two to 32 craft brewery keywords for each state and compared the search interest within each state accordingly.
