Organizing Your Jewelry

Have you ever been running late for a date and all that’s left to do is put on your favorite lipstick and pick out the necklace and bracelet you want to wear, only to find that all of your necklaces are in your top dresser drawer in a big tangled mess? If this sounds like a situation you have ever been in, this will be useful information on fun and decorative ways to organize your jewelry!

Organizing Your Necklaces

With so many different necklace lengths and designs, we all know how hard it is to find ways to display our jewelry. If you are creative like I am, you can take old picture frames and add mesh or cork backgrounds to them so you can hang all sorts of items. You can also add pushpins with decorative features to create a unique look. Many stores have things like jewelry trees and trays that add cute details to your room while also showing off your necklaces. I have an obsession with retro-chic knobs for dressers and doors, and in my bathroom I display them on the wall and hang my necklaces on them. This would be a good idea if you have a wall that needs to be filled up!

Organizing Your Rings

Rings can be a little trickier to keep organized and prevent from getting scratched when they’re lying next to the others. There are several creative and eye-catching ring holders out there that are sure to do the job! I have a ring holder that is shaped like a giraffe. I can stack my rings on the neck and also lay them on the bottom where a little tray sits. One of the more creative and one-of-a-kind ways to keep your rings in order is by creating a box unique to your style. Take an old tin, find some pretty felt, roll the felt into long tubes and fit them into the tin so they are secure. This way, you can place your rings in between each strip of felt and they stay put!

Organizing Your Bracelets

My favorite DIY organizer for bracelets has to be old wine and olive oil bottles. Take a few and paint them if you like, or keep them in their original form, and stack your bracelets on the tops of them. You can use trays that fit into dresser drawers to lay your bracelets in as well. Another unique idea to hold your bracelets is accordion-style peg racks. They have so many different angles and you can add hooks to them to hold any piece of jewelry while also adding a fun piece of wall art. There are so many different ideas on how to organize your jewelry, and I could go on forever! Keeping your jewelry organized prevents frustration, tangles and broken pieces. Be creative! There are things in your closets right now that I am sure would make amazing displays for your jewelry.
