Best Places to Propose in Atlanta

Finding the perfect location to pop the big question is a nerve-racking process, especially in a big city like Atlanta. Relax, ATLiens, we have some ideas to make this day incredibly memorable. Keep reading.

1. Centennial Olympic Park

Known for its beauty and attractions, Centennial Olympic Park is one of the best places to propose in Atlanta. Make a day out of it. Start by taking a tour of the city with the Peachtree Trolley tours, then enjoy the tranquil beauty of aquatic wildlife at the Georgia Aquarium. By then, you should be into the evening, city lights on, and Skyview Atlanta will set the mood. Take a VIP ride, enjoy the view of the city, and make her dream come true.

2. Piedmont Park

Maybe the most famous park in Atlanta, Piedmont Park offers many spots to propose. It’s HUGE, giving you the option to remain private in a romantic setting or be grand at one of the many festivals hosted there with a big crowd to witness. Within the park, Legacy Fountain offers the perfect backdrop with over 80 water jets and LED lighting to set the mood. It’s picture-perfect!

3. Stone Mountain

Are you two into fitness? Do you like to hike? Well, why not turn a normal stroll in the park into the marriage proposal of a lifetime? Take a hike up local favorite Stone Mountain, and take a knee with a view of Atlanta. If you would prefer a winter wonderland setting to propose, they bring in snow even when there is none! Or how about bringing a blanket and picnic basket and enjoying a laser light show with a picnic and, oh, A RING!

4. Arenas

From the Atlanta Falcons to the Hawks, there is an arena and event to make your wish come true.  Surprise your mate and thousands of others when you begin your forever with the most epic proposal ever. Asking her to marry you at her favorite team’s arena is the perfect proposal for any sports fanatic.

5. The Sun Dial

The restaurant of all restaurants (to propose at, that is). It doesn’t get more romantic than The Sun Dial restaurant located on West Peachtree. Located high above the city, you get to see the 360-degree view of Atlanta’s beautiful skyline because the whole restaurant is rotating. Just sit back, relax, enjoy some amazing food, admire the amazing views and put a smile on her face with a proposal.

Take these ideas and make them your own—Atlanta is a romantic city and the options are limitless. Remember, wherever you propose, you are going to make someone’s day even brighter, so don’t stress.
