5 Ways to Have an Unforgettable At-Home Proposal

Is there no one you’d rather be stuck at home with? You don’t need to leave the house to pop the question with these simple and sweet proposal ideas. Psst — you can shop our engagement rings made just for them at ShaneCo.com.

1. Be their sous chef

Taking a cooking class is the perfect way to bond with your significant other — plus, food tastes even better when you’ve made it together. Luckily, websites like Skillshare and Instructables offer tons of fun (and free) classes to help you explore your inner foodie. End a romantic at-home date night with the sweetest dessert: a proposal!

2. Take a walk down memory lane

Now is the perfect time to go back and look at all the memories you and your partner have made together. Create an album, video, or collage and pair it with cards and keepsakes you’ve collected throughout your relationship. Reminisce on your favorite times together before letting your honey know there are so many more to come (once they say yes, of course).

3. Cook them breakfast in bed

Saving time without your morning commute? Make any day a special one by letting your sweetheart sleep in while you make them a fully loaded breakfast. In between sips of mimosas is the perfect time to pop the question.

4. Plan a family reunion

If you can’t imagine proposing without the help of your family and friends, get in touch with them to help you plan a virtual party! Tell your significant other you’ll be attending a webcam dinner with all your favorite people, then surprise them when you get down on one knee for everyone to see.

5. Create an at-home spa night

Just because you can’t go out doesn’t mean you get to skip self-care. Order some face masks, bubble bath, chocolates, and fuzzy slippers to set up a cozy spa night for your honey. Once they feel totally pampered, let them know you’ll always be here to take care of them by asking them to be your spouse!
