Spring is in the air, and so is love! If you’re looking for the perfect season to propose, spring is a beautiful time to pop the question. If you live in Atlanta or are planning a visit, we have a few recommendations for the best spring proposal spots in the city.

With three of our jewelry stores located in Atlanta, Georgia, we happen to know the area well. There are several historic or nature-filled proposal spots that are popular for their stunning backgrounds or city symbolism. Learn more below about where to propose, how to plan, and more details about engagement ring shopping below.

The Swan House

The Swan House was built nearly a century ago and remains a staple of Buckhead today. It now serves as a house museum and headquarters of the Atlanta Historical Society. This gorgeous mansion, with its extensive gardens, offers a stunning backdrop for your Atlanta proposal.

Plus, you can book private events, including weddings, and visit the Swan Coach House for a delicious Southern meal, so your wedding festivities don’t have to stop after your proposal. For more information on proposals at the Swan House, including photography and entry rules, read their extensive information here.

Arabia Mountain

Arabia Mountain sits in the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve in DeKalb County. It offers gorgeous views in addition to unique biomes. Visually similar to nearby Stone Mountain, Arabia Mountain is widely known for its exposed granite formations. It offers several trails ranging in difficulty. As far as hikes in the area, though, Arabia Mountain is not considered as strenuous for many, making it perfect for the future fiancée who will enjoy dressing up for the occasion without worrying about dirtying their clothes.

Jackson Street Bridge

If you’re looking for an experience that truly speaks to Atlanta, Jackson Street Bridge is going to be the most iconic scene for your proposal. One of the best parts about this location? It’s free, easy to get to, and definitely symbolic of the city! We recommend strolling along the bridge, popping the question, then heading over to nearby Inman Park for a bite to eat in one of Atlanta’s top culinary neighborhoods.

Piedmont Park

A proposal at Piedmont Park pays a sweet tribute to Atlanta and its reputation for nature as the “city in the forest.” According to Brigette Doss, Director of Venue Rentals and Special Events at the Piedmont Park Conservancy, the picturesque Dockside venue is one of the most popular proposal spots in the park. It’s a picturesque hideaway that overlooks Lake Clara Meer.

Other great park engagement settings include The Meadow, Oak Hill, and the stone steps on the east side of the Active Oval. If you’re looking beyond your proposal, Magnolia Hall, Greystone, and The Promenade make for great wedding and reception sites.

The BeltLine

The BeltLine is another excellent choice for an outdoor proposal that speaks to Atlanta’s vibrant culture. The BeltLine is made up of 22 miles that circle around the city, providing a walking path and access to various parks and local businesses. Founded in 2005, the BeltLine rapidly became a staple of Atlanta. Take a stroll with your significant other and stop at your favorite spot to pop the question. You can celebrate with cocktails afterwards at Ranger Station or a delicious meal at Two Urban Licks.
