Shane Co. recently had the pleasure of sponsoring The Big Fake Wedding event at the W Hotel Midtown in Atlanta. If you’re not familiar, The Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show alternative created to showcase wedding vendors at a live, but not actually real, wedding. Created in 2008 by Callie Murray, this wedding event is complete with a bride, groom, minister, guests, ceremony and reception. 
The event is meant to help brides and grooms find trusted vendors, but it is just as beautiful and emotional as you’d expect any “real” wedding to be.
Even though the wedding was fake, the jewels were real! Our Merchandise Liaison from the Alpharetta store, Joyce Brooks, chose gorgeous jewelry for the bridal party to wear on what would prove to be a perfect wedding day. The bride sparkled in sterling silver pearl drop earrings, a diamond tennis bracelet and, of course, the centerpiece—a dazzling cushion cut diamond in a gorgeous 14 karat white gold halo setting. Her proud groom wore a 14 karat white gold wedding band with engraved black accents.
The bridesmaids were styled with beautiful jewelry from our stunning Duet Collection. For the bridesmaid wearing yellow, we chose a beautiful 14 karat rose gold, mother of pearl and white topaz Duet set. For the bridesmaid wearing blue, we chose a 14 karat white gold, blue lapis and white topaz Duet set. The jewels were the perfect complement to their dresses!
Although the wedding party could only wear our jewelry for the day, one lucky guest won a 14 karat white gold diamond bar bracelet from Shane Co. to take home! Let me just say, the winner was quite excited!
From beginning to end, this event was simply delightful and we enjoyed every minute!
