    To determine the most popular beach read in every U.S. state, we compiled a list of 89 popular books from Barnes and Noble\u2019s list of the best beach reads for 2023<\/a>. We then analyzed the regional interest of the 89 books on our list using Google Trends search data from June 2021 to June 2022. Finally, we compared search interest to find every state\u2019s favorite beach read for the coming year. We used high search interest as an indicator of popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n
