Blue Topaz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Blue topaz gets its name from the word \u201ctopazion,\u201d which may\nbe related to the Egyptian island of Topazos. In the times of the ancient\nGreeks and Romans, the stone was valued greatly for its uniqueness and general\nrarity, though large deposits of the stone were eventually found in Brazil.\nNowadays, topaz is very popular and accessible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally, it was thought that all yellow gemstones were\ntopaz, but it was soon discovered that topaz varies in color from yellow to\nblue and green to completely colorless.
