This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Company Finance and Accounting Department, and will serve as the financial liaison with the Marketing department. This position, under direction from Management and using independent judgment, performs advanced and specialized financial assignments, including but not limited to obtaining and analyzing financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations as follows:
§ Establish analytical review of the Marketing programs to support the department by providing recommendations for departmental and financial decision-making and forecasting.
§ Proactively assess and identify market trends, risks, opportunities and performance.
§ Perform ROI, trend and competitor analysis as needed for financial and cash forecasting.
§ Prepare financial statement variance analysis and explanations against budget, forecast, and prior year, including departmental research and review.
§ Assist with planning and preparation of the annual budgets.
§ Build relationships and coordinate communication between Marketing, Finance and other departments.
§ Assist with standardizing process re-engineering across the Accounting & Finance Department.
§ Education: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
§ Experience: Minimum 3-5 years progressive finance or accounting experience
§ Skills Required:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent problem-solving skills
o Strong analytical and organizational skills
o Advanced Excel; proficient in PowerPoint and Word
o SAP experience a plus
o Retail industry experience a plus
